A fundamental component of GCL’s vision is achieving site closure and achieving a Reclamation Certificate. GCL is proud to be an industry leader for its clients. We seek to define and achieve annual targets as part of area-based closure and program planning. GCL reviews its KPIs and performance metrics regularly and over the four years has achieved 646 Reclamation Certificates.
Considering an average density of 2500 stems/ha, and generic lease certified footprint this totals approximately 1,533,600 trees planted. Once these trees reach full maturity, 1 tree alone can absorb around 1 tonne of CO2, impressive statistics and great news for this industry, one GCL is dedicated to support.
