It’s the season of giving, and GCL is proud to support the communities in which we work and live.
Young readers grow up to absorb the world around them. GCL is pleased to share that we were able to meet with members of the Calgary Public Library Foundation to better understand their Mission and Vision. After attending this meeting, we were pleased to announce support for the cause “My First Bookshelf” initiative.
The program supports children on their journey to literacy, providing a free age-appropriate book once a month from birth to age five, with a current capacity of 2,000 children. The Foundation is hoping to expand to 3,000 children.
